Aims & Objectives To be the first and foremost provider of all round entertainment in Nigeria and to showcase quality programs (gossip) that will be admired all through Africa and the world over. Programs Entertainment News Play TV shall deliver up to the minute updates on the various events taking place around the entertainment community. From music to sports, movies to arts and comedy to games, nothing shall be left out to ensure the audience is fully informed. The hottest celebrity gossips will also appear here. Play Radio Play TV spares a spot for our Play Radio on this segment. We shall all have the opportunity to view how things are run on radio. Who’s behind the soothing voice and who’s in charge of the wonderful music mix, everything shall come into light right here on Play TV. Moreover, while we are used to audio musical mixes on radio, we shall be treated to some first rate video mixes. Video Café It’s about engaging the audience in becoming more sensitive and aware of their environment. There would be a dedicated website or email address for the show, and interested participants will send in interesting, newsworthy videos. The video could be an event e.g. a robbery that the reporter was able to record. Or it could be an interesting and fun occurrence in ones immediate environment like a child doing something strange and funny. Or it could also be filming oneself doing something considered newsworthy or interesting or fun. Videos will be expected to be a maximum of 5 minutes long for each participant. At the end of the recording, the cameraperson will as a constant style for all the video presentations, conclude with the phrase “reporting for Play TV”. And as a condition attached to sending the videos, participants will be expected to attach a short (half a page) written report to accompanying sent videos. This report gives a background to the events surrounding the video sent, and uses this also to make a television-friendly voice over report as well. For the purpose of our segment, 10 videos will be selected out of all the video reports sent every week. Using the accompanying short report of the sender. The Presenter talks through the events in the videos, accompanied with voice over of the reports as the audience savours the fun and excitement of the ten video reports. However only the best one of the ten is eventually picked as winner for the week comes on the interview segment of the programme gets the highly coveted Playcenter prize.
